Brief Description
Siemens Industry Software NV (SISW) constituting the “Simulation and Test Solutions” business segment within Siemens Digital Industries Software is a mid-size high technology industry active in test and mechatronic simulation in the automotive, aerospace, and other mechanical industries. With a unique combination of testing systems, mechatronic simulation software and engineering services, the company tunes into mission critical engineering attributes, ranging from structural dynamics, noise and vibrations and sound quality to durability, safety, and power consumption. With multi-domain and mechatronic simulation solutions, SISW addresses complex engineering challenges associated with intelligent system design and model-based system engineering. SISW is a spin-off of the KU Leuven (1980) and presently employs over 1800 people worldwide. Scientific part in ASSESS: Modelling of GW propagation in CFRPs using FEM Simcenter 3D/NX Nastran software used at SIE. Damage model simplifications in FEM using refined CUF models as reference.
