Brief Description
CUS was founded in 1994. The university has about 3000 students, 230 professors and full-time lecturers, 400 part-time lecturers and 130 administrative employees. The university has four departments: Engineering & IT, Civil Engineering & Architecture, Management, and Health Sciences & Social Work.
CiSMAT is a research laboratory of CUS. Its research topics include (1) the research and development of integrated passive wireless sensors (i.e., without embedded electronics) such as SAW RFID Tag for the structural health monitoring (SHM) of concrete structures; (2) the research and development of “smart materials”-based solutions for a greener industry and (3) the research and development of solutions for lightweight construction.
